This book is a description of the culture of the semi-nomadic Wano people, who number around 1500 and live in the very heart of Papua, in eastern Indonesia. Their language is one of the Trans-New Guinea Phylum of the Dani-Kwerba stock. Worldview Analysis for Church Planting represents the culmination of cultural information gathered during the period 2005-2017, when the Wild family lived among them. Through the day-to-day process of learning their language and building relationships, the Wilds observed and recorded the culture as it unfolded. Mike, along with his teammate, learned an unwritten tribal language, developed an alphabet and literacy course, translated the New Testament, taught God’s message, planted churches and discipled believers. After many years of discipleship, Wano men and their families went to other Wano villages to plant satellite churches. Using the newly translated Bible portions and lessons, they repeated what had been modelled to them, teaching literacy and teaching God’s Word.
