THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO A HEEL: What Professional Wrestling Taught Me About Sin, Identity, Masks, and Grace.($14.99Value)

Description

The Greatest Gimmick He Ever Played Was Pretending He Had It All Together. For years, 1st Generation Native American and ex-professional wrestler Danny "The Black Sheep" Rolin lived his life protecting the kayfabe. As a heel, his job was simple: get heat, manipulate the crowd, and make them hate him. He knew exactly how to trigger an arena’s emotions and feed off their reactions. But eventually, the line between performance and reality blurred, and the villainous mask started following him home. In The Gospel According to a Heel , Danny Rolin steps out of character to cut the ultimate shoot promo on his own life. Stripping away the face paint, the ego, and the religious costumes we all wear, Danny exposes the dangerous addiction to human approval and the exhausting internal war of "working stiff" with the flesh. This is not a story of polished church religion, self-improvement, or trying to earn a championship you can’t win. It’s a brutal, honest look at what happens when the adrenaline fades, the arena empties, and you are left fighting private battles in the dark. In this book, you will discover: Kayfabe Christianity: How to recognize when you are performing for the church crowd instead of living in truth. - The Promo We All Cut: Exposing the lies we tell ourselves to survive, from fake masculinity to hiding deep emotional wounds. - Tagged with Grace: What it means to stop trying to win the match on your own and rely entirely on the finished work of Jesus Christ. - The Babyface Turn: How the Gospel of the Grace of God doesn't just erase your scars, but actively changes your storyline. Whether you are a lifelong wrestling fan who understands the psychology of the ring, or simply someone exhausted from trying to maintain an unbreakable image, Danny’s testimony delivers a much-needed reality check. Every gimmick eventually dies, and every match reaches the final bell. The Gospel According to a Heel will challenge you to drop the act, get honest, and experience the profound peace that only comes when the performance finally ends.
