This volume contains 76 poems from 2014 called “ Inner And Outer Choreography Join Hands In Their Dance." This is my twelth poetry book in “THE GOOD, THE BAD, & THE UGLY SERIES: The Complete Poems of Barrie Gellis.” I wrote my first poem in November 1965 and have since written 4,000+ poems...and counting. Besides being a poet, I attended Jane Roberts’ ESP Seth classes in Elmira, NY, in 1972-3. Seth referred to me as “our poet.” These poems contain the complete range of dynamics of modern and postmodern American life and poetry. There are the deeply-moving, thought-provoking, serious, humorous, fun, tragic, loving, silly, sexual, political, war, peace, natural disasters, cars, streets, sky, trees, every day, down-to-earth poems of physical life. Then, ADD to that the spiritually-minded, expansive-thinking, metaphysical, ever-wondering “new-age” topics including self, soul and flesh, death, reincarnation, dreams, reality creation, simultaneous time, parallel and probable realities, and how humans are innately good, loving and compassionate; and we are ALL heroes on our brave, individual, inner journeys of self-awareness. Poetry is one way to look within to find answers--sometimes playful, sometimes not--concerning the nature of self, soul and universe. Normal routine awareness can lead to great insights about existence, about God (however you accept or reject its existence), about the nature of reality, and about one’s soul and self. All can be found in tandem by looking, feeling, and absorbing the outside as our five senses wander. Here questions and answers are seen as springtime, as a kitten playing with a string, as muddy boots on a wooden floor, as a sparkling reflection off an elevator surface, as the creak of an old step, or as the aroma of pizza on a Tuesday afternoon.
