Bobbie Jeane Lyon was born and raised in the small southern Seminole County community of Sasakwa. When she was twelve yers old she began a diary in which she made an entry every day for the next five years. This diary tells of her growing up in a much simpler time during and the years just after WWII. My mothers father was Seminole County Deputy Sheriff Charlie Lyon and thier home was the center of activity in Sasakwa. Family, friends, church, school, basketball games, fishing trips, movies at local and nearby towns, escapades of her and her older sister Ruth fill many of the diary entries, untill Bill Upton moved to town.
