Oh, you know how it goes—someone starts telling you their life story, and suddenly, you’re diving headfirst into this wild, meandering river of memories, tangents, and "oh, wait, I forgot to mention this one time!" moments. It’s like they’re narrating their own biography, but instead of a polished, neatly edited book, it’s more like a scrapbook they’re flipping through while eating pizza, occasionally dropping crumbs on the pages. They’ll start with something like, “So, I was born on a rainy Tuesday—or was it Wednesday? Actually, I think it was sunny. Anyway, my mom always said I came out screaming, which, honestly, the same.” And then they’ll veer off into a story about their third-grade teacher who had a pet iguana, which somehow ties into their first job at a taco stand, and before you know it, they’re recounting the time they accidentally dyed their hair green before a big job interview. It’s not linear, it’s not always coherent, but it’s *them*—raw, unfiltered, and full of personality. You can practically hear the parentheses and footnotes in their voice. “Oh, and this one time—wait, no, that was after the thing with the raccoon. Or was it before? You know what, it doesn’t matter, but here’s the point…” And somehow, by the end of it, you feel like you’ve lived a whole lifetime with them, even if you’re not entirely sure what year it all happened in.
