This high-power end fed antenna is made with two stacked, oversized ferrite rings from a world-renowned manufacturer, each with an outer diameter of 310mm (79mm), which is even larger than the American standard of 290mm (73mm). It can withstand continuous power levels of SSB: 1000W, FT8<300W, and CW<500W. For short periods, it can handle peak power levels of SSB<1500W (PEP), FT8<500W, and CW<700W. End-fed antennas are characterized by their multi-directional properties, eliminating the need to choose a specific direction during setup. It is advisable to select an open and elevated location.
When setting up the antenna, it should be position meters away from any objects ( it should be positioned more than 3 meters away from any objects (including tree leaves), and if there are metal objects, it should be placed more than 5 meters away. If the setup environment affects the resonant frequency, you can adjust the structure by slightly modifying the length of the fold-back at the end; however, trimming is not recommended.
The balun has a radiator on one side and is empty on the other. This structure makes the antenna very convenient to set up; simply pull both ends with a rope, ensuring that the radiator and balun are more than 3 meters away from any objects.
