After setup, no pin spanner is needed for routine disc changes on a compatible setup, helping you spend less time searching for it. Do not use the Magic Flange Nut as the outer nut. ONE-TIME HAND INSTALLATION — Remove the stock inner flange. On a compatible U.S. 5/8"-11 spindle, thread the Magic Flange Nut clockwise by hand until fully seated. Do not wrench-tighten it during installation. Use a suitable wrench on the octagonal flats only when completely removing the Magic Flange Nut from the spindle. TIGHTEN THE DISC CLOCKWISE BEFORE USE — Unplug the grinder or remove its battery. Install a permitted disc and the original outer nut, then grip the disc and turn it clockwise until firmly hand-tightened. In the intended compatible setup, normal working rotation maintains clamping force; this does not replace the pre-use seating and hand-tightening check. For a thin disc with the stock outer nut shown, the flat face must contact the disc; a raised face toward a thin disc can prevent proper clamping.
