The compact size and integral power steering function means it bolts directly in place of a manual steering box and simply requires plumbing a pressure and return line to your engine mounted power steering pump. This is a much simpler solution than trying to retrofit a non-integral power steering setup, such as the Bendix system found on early Corvettes, which uses a different center link, tie-rod ends, additional hoses, and more.
