Fitting your dog into the collar is important please make sure to use our graph and measure your dogs neck for a good fit. Proper fitting will prevent chaffing and irritation. Collars should not be tight; allow 2 fingers to be able to fit inside of tightened collar around dogs neck. We never advise collars to be worn at all times since dogs can easily get caught on something and possibly strangle. The medium size collar is great for dogs that weigh around 25 to 35 pounds. Example of smaller stature breeds like: Border Collies, Australian Shepherds, and Beagles. Use the Large size on Pit Bulls, German Shepherds, Dobermans and Labs, this collar may possibly fit Rottweilers as well but (check graph for measurements).
