Directional, channel and volume are metal dome keys that can only be cleaned ButtonWorx membrane repair kit is installed onto the circuit board under the original keypad. Your old rubber buttons press down on the ButtonWorx pad and the new pad complete the switch (taking over the electrical fnction of the old rubber buttons).
