NOT AN ISP / GPON FIBER TERMINAL - READ FIRST: this is a LAN media converter for your own fiber run between switches, buildings or rooms. It does NOT replace an ONT / GPON box from your internet provider, and GPON / XGS-PON ONU stick modules will NOT work in this slot. If you are looking for an ONT, this is not the product. CHOOSE YOUR OWN SFP - ANY BRAND, ANY DISTANCE: the open slot takes any standard 1G (1.25G) or 100M (155M) SFP module you like - single-mode, multimode or WDM - with no vendor lock or coding restriction. The module is not included, so you fit the exact wavelength and reach your fiber run needs. NO BUNDLED OPTIC TO PAY FOR: because you pick the module, you never buy an optic with the wrong wavelength, connector or reach for your fiber. That is why this is the lowest-cost converter in the range - you are not paying for a module you would have replaced anyway. One unit covers a short in-building hop or a long site-to-site run. GIGABIT COPPER, AUTO-NEGOTIATING: the RJ-45 port auto-senses 10 / 100 / 1000 Mbps and negotiates duplex automatically, so it links to whatever switch, router, NAS or PC you connect. Jumbo frame support for full throughput on file and backup traffic. 1G OR 100M - SET BY DIP SWITCH: a front DIP switch selects the fiber-side speed to match your SFP, so one unit covers both 1.25G and 155M modules. Requires a 1G or 100M SFP; 10G SFP+ modules will not link. HOT SWAP SUPPORT: Supports hot-swapping of SFP modules allowing you to change modules without powering down the device, providing flexibility for different fiber types and distances READY OUT OF THE BOX: ships with a 1m Cat6 patch cord and a wall mount.
