The clear glossy finish protects and enhances colors. 5 mil thickness is one of the more popular medium weight laminating pouches for rigidity, protection and compatible with nearly every thermal pouch laminator on the market.
Note: Industry standard specification for 5 mil laminating pouches is 5 mil on each flap for a total of 10 mil added to your paper sheet card. 1 mil equals 1/1000th of an inch (metric: 25 microns). The industry calls these pouches, yet they are sealed on only one edge instead of three (like a folder, but with 3/32” flat seal for the fold).

    • Tips:
  • When trying any brand for the 1st time, consider running at a slightly lower temperature (or faster speed). If the results are cloudy, you can always run the sheet again at a higher temperature or slower speed, but you cannot fix heat blisters caused by running too hot or too slow.
  • If planning on trimming or hole punching laminated sheets, wait 24 to 72 hours for maximum adhesive curing time and a professional cut edge.
