Note: Industry standard specification for 5 mil laminating pouches is 5 mil on each flap for a total of 10 mil added to your paper sheet. 1 mil equals 1/1000th of an inch (metric: 25 microns). The industry calls these pouches, yet they are sealed on only one edge instead of three (like a folder, but with 3/32” flat seal at the fold).

Laminating Tips:

When trying ANY laminate for the 1st time, consider running at a slightly lower temperature (or faster speed). If the results are cloudy, you can always run the sheet again at a higher temperature or slower speed, but you cannot fix heat blisters caused by running too hot or too slow.

If you plan on trimming or punching sheets, wait 24 to 72 hours for adequate adhesive curing time and a professional cut edge (thicker laminate requires the longer time).
