If you like rich historical fiction, feminine perspectives, and illuminating stories of motherhood, then you will love this first book of Angelique Conger’s Ancient Matriarchs series. One thing lacking in the bible is detail. The author changes that with her wonderful tale. Readers are given a look inside the story of Adam and Eve told with a depth that is amazing. I loved the way the author has added to an age old story and makes it feel complete. If you are not a bible fan or a religious person, you will still find this a great story of life and the hardships involved with it. --Goodreads.com I could not put this book down. It opened my heart to mother Eve and gave moments of quiet pondering. I know that my testimony and love for mother Eve has been strengthened. My gratitude for her also. The book flowed easily and captured me from the beginning. Thank you Angelique Conger!! --Amazon.com From the Garden of Eden Eve is a thoroughly enjoyed read. It is the first in the series starting with Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden. Angelique Conger has a wonderful way with writing. The storyline is very believable, and eating the forbidden apple starts the book off from freedom to a new hard world of fighting off evil, and bringing new life into a world where evil will do it's best to show it can,and will change lives forever. Highly recommended. --Goodreads.com Angelique Conger writes historical fiction about the earliest days of our earth between Eden and the flood. Many consider her books Christian focused, and they are because they focus on events in the Bible. She writes of a people's beliefs in Jehovah. However, though she s read in much of the Bible and searched for more about these stories, there isn t much there. Her imagination fills in the missing information, which is most of it. Angelique Conger discovered the wonders of writing books later in her life. Books, however, have always been important to her. As a little girl in a small town, she was given her own library card at the tender age of five, highly unusual in those days. She remembers walking to the few blocks to the library on her own to choose the maximum number of books, four, and took them back three or four days later for four more. As she got older and she occasionally returned the books a day or two past the limit of two weeks. The librarians allowed her to straighten the shelves to pay off her fines. Angelique reads a book, or three at once, much of the time. She reads most genres of books and until recently only toyed with writing them. Since then, she has spent many hours each day learning the craft of writing and editing. Angelique followed her Navy husband around the world and later worked as a teacher in the years her children were growing. Writing about the earliest days of our earth, those days between the Garden of Eden and Noah's flood, helps in her efforts to change the world. Angelique lives in Southern Nevada with her husband, turtles, and Lovebird. Her favorite times are visiting children and grandchildren.
