What does it mean for God to be all in all? Is this a promise only for the end of time, or does it contain a call and an assurance for us now? The reality of God has a way of nudging us off-kilter, unhinging us from carefully established ways of perceiving and comfortable modes of being in the world. We learn that with God many of the divisions crucial to human thought and behavior are blurred, and some of what we consider opposites rest easily together. How are we to let ourselves be transformed in the God who is Unknown, yet who is our most intimate Knowing? And what about the wondrous mystery that the God who is supremely Other longs for us to share the divine life in Christ?
